How to get to Nendaz

By Air

Geneva is the closest major airport to Nendaz (Easyjet, BA, Swiss). However, Nendaz is also easily accessible from Bern, Basel, Zurich, Turin and Milan airports, travelling by road or by the excellent Swiss rail network.

From any airport, you can either hire a car to drive to Nendaz, or you can get a fast train to Sion. Approximate driving times are shown in the list on the left.

By Rail

Sion is on the main line between Milan and Geneva/Lausanne and is easily accessible by rail from Geneva, Zurich, Milan, and all major airports.

Each hour there are several express and local trains going in both directions. Approximate train times are shown on the left. Swiss train information is available from www.sbb.ch.

From Sion

Sion is just 20 minutes' drive from Nendaz and the major car hire companies have offices in Sion (Avis, Europcar, Hertz, etc.,).

Alternatively you can take one of the frequent yellow Sion-Nendaz Car Postal buses from Sion railway station to Haute-Nendaz Télécabine (20 buses per day, 35 minutes' journey). Bus information is available from www.sbb.ch.

Or you can take a taxi to Nendaz, which costs around CHF80; to book in advance, call the Sion taxi office on +41 (0)27 322 32 32.

How to get to Chalet Arc-en-Ciel

Directions

At the main roundabout in Haute-Nendaz, take 2nd exit and go to the main Tracouet télécabine (bubble lift) on your left.

200m after the télécabine, take the left turn opposite the recycling area, into the small road Chemin des Rairettes.

After 500m ignore the Chemin de Carthegië (the 1st turning on the left).

After another, 50m turn left into our road, Chemin des Veillas, just in front of Chalet Lily.

Drive up the steep lane, around the corner and Chalet Arc-en-Ciel is at the end.

Note that access is up a steep road and in winter a 4-wheel drive car is strongly recommended. In any case, snow chains are essential.
